Other Charges or Additional Fees

You may incur additional expenses beyond the regular room and board rates or the charges below. The following charges may be assessed depending on the student's final room assignment and pay plan:

Nine-Month Housing Charge

Wilkins Hall, Hewett Hall, Manchester Hall, Fell Ave. and School Street Apartments are the locations for nine-month housing. Students living in Wilkins Hall, Hewett, and Manchester Halls are assessed a mandatory, nonrefundable $150 per semester charge because these halls open three days before the other residence halls and remain open throughout all University break periods (Thanksgiving, semester, and spring breaks). During official University vacation periods, the University Housing buildings (except for Manchester Hall, Hewett Hall, Fell Ave./School St., Cardinal Court, and Wilkins) are closed and students must vacate the premises. Cardinal Court, Fell Avenue, School Street, Wilkins, and Manchester and Hewett residents do not have to vacate the premises during any break periods.

Housing Initial Payment-New Student Only

When completing a residence hall contract, new students are asked to submit a $300 housing initial payment. The following is the breakdown of how that payment is used:

  • $50 Non refundable application fee. All students are assessed the application fee, which is a mandatory, nonrefundable fee.
  • $250 Reservation fee - the remaining portion is applied to the first semester's room charge. If paying in monthly installments, students should notice this amount applied to the first month's bill.
