Other Charges or Additional Fees

You may incur additional expenses beyond the regular room and board rates or the charges below. The following charges may be assessed depending on the student's final room assignment and pay plan:

Nine-Month Housing Charge

Students living in Wilkins, Hewett, Manchester, 209 Fell, 211 Fell, and 302 School are assessed a mandatory, nonrefundable $175 per semester charge because these halls are open throughout all University break periods (fall, winter, and spring breaks). 

Housing Initial Payment-New Student Only

When completing a residence hall contract, new students are asked to submit a $300 housing initial payment. The following is the breakdown of how that payment is used:

  • $50 Non refundable application fee. All students are assessed the application fee, which is a mandatory, nonrefundable fee.
  • $250 Reservation fee - the remaining portion is applied to the first semester's room charge. If paying in monthly installments, students should notice this amount applied to the first month's bill.
